Mindful Movements
Mindful Movements is a gentle, 4-day moving meditation course designed specifically for older adults who want to feel more grounded, relaxed, and connected in daily life. In our fast-paced world, we often forget to slow down and care for ourselves—and that’s exactly what this program helps you do.
Each session combines simple, mindful movements with breath awareness to calm the mind and nourish the body. The majority of the class is done seated, making it safe, accessible, and comfortable for all mobility levels—no previous experience required.
Day 1
Introduction to Mindful Movements
Welcome to the first day of Mindful Movements! Today, we’ll ease into the practice by combining gentle, seated movements with the rhythm of your breath—inviting calm, awareness, and connection into your body. This session is designed to help you tune in, let go of tension, and move with intention. There’s no need to strive for perfection—just listen to your body, move at your own pace, and enjoy the experience.
Day 2
Your Breath in Balance
Welcome to Day 2 of Mindful Movements! Today, we begin with a grounding breath practice to center ourselves and gently prepare the body for movement. As your breath settles, we’ll move into simple, flowing seated movements that align with each inhale and exhale. This session is all about deepening the connection between breath and body—inviting presence into each moment. As you move, let your breath guide you, allowing tension to melt away and a sense of ease to unfold.
Day 3
Flow From Within
Welcome to Day 3 of Mindful Movements! We’ll begin by returning to our steady breath—grounding ourselves and creating space for presence and ease. Then from this centered place, we’ll move into a flowing sequence of seated movements, each one guided by the rhythm of your breath. This moving meditation invites you to explore how your body feels in motion, letting breath & movement become one seamless experience.
Day 4
Gratitude in Motion
Welcome to Day 4 of Mindful Movements—our final session together! We’ll begin with our familiar breath practice, gently grounding ourselves and inviting calm into the body and mind. From there, we’ll flow into a series of simple, seated movements—each one guided by the rhythm of your breath, each one a reflection of the mindfulness you've nurtured over these past days. Today is a celebration of your journey—of your presence, your patience, and your progress.
As we move, let gratitude fill each breath and guide each motion. This is your time to honor how far you’ve come and to close our series with a sense of joy, ease, and connection. I’m so glad to share this practice with you.
