Day One

Introduction to Balance

Welcome to Day 1 of our Balance Training Series! We’ll start with some gentle seated warm-up exercises, like simple movements that help us to loosen up. From there we'll begin to build your foundational balance skills.

When you’re ready, we’ll come up to stand using your chair for support. We'll practice some simple balance challenges, like lifting one leg to the side while holding onto the chair and walking heel-to-toe along a line. Our goal is to build your balance confidence!

Day Two

Strengthening your Lower Body

Welcome to Day 2! Today, our focus will be on building the strength in your lower body, which is super important for balance. We’ll start seated with gentle warm-up movements for your arms and wrists, followed by chair squats and leg extensions.

Then, it’s time to stand up! With your chair providing support, we’ll do some standing calf raises, side leg raises, and practice standing on one leg. Plus, we’ll tackle step-ups with the chair, enhancing your strength and stability.

Day Three

Enhancing Coordination

It's Day 3, and we’re all about coordination today! We’ll start with some gentle seated movements to warm up, and then dive into tandem stance practice and seated leg extensions. When it’s time to stand, we’ll have some fun with balance challenges.

You’ll practice tandem walking (putting one foot in front of the other) and even single-leg stands, all while using your chair for support. We’ll wrap up with gentle arm and back stretches to help you relax. Keep up the great work!

Day Four

Dynamic Balance

Congratulations on reaching Day 4! Today’s session is all about dynamic balance and having some fun. We’ll start with gentle seated movements and arm swings to warm up.


When it’s time to stand, we’ll do some lively side-to-side steps and lateral leg swings while holding onto the chair for balance. We’ll finish our session with deep breathing and full-body stretches, celebrating all your hard work and progress.
